
Nate and Melissa Ledbetter have two girls, with a baby boy due in July. Scooter, their 90 pound American Bulldog, eats anything, including tires. They live in South Atlanta, a beautiful inner-city neighborhood. They rely on donations and grants to sustain their effort to join God in the city both as neighbors, and as leaders through Sub-Urban and FCS Urban Ministries.

Melissa Ledbetter serves as co-creator of Sub-Urban, a division of FCS Urban Ministries in Atlanta, GA. Prior to moving south, Melissa was Director of Worship and Discipleship at Cornerstone University, and served on the Children’s Staff at Mars Hill Bible Church in West Michigan. Melissa is a follower of Jesus, a wife, mother and neighbor. Her high school years were spent in Santiago, Chile where she first became passionate about intercultural relationships. She enjoys writing, reading and cooking.
Nate Ledbetter serves as Co-Executive Director of FCS Urban Ministries, an urban collective made up of thirteen diverse groups all partnering together within one urban neighborhood in Atlanta, GA. Additionally, Nate is Social Architect of Sub-Urban, a division of FCS. Prior to moving south, Nate was a pastor for six years at Mars Hill Bible Church in West Michigan. Nate is a follower of Jesus, a husband, father and neighbor. His global travels and urban living have allowed him the opportunity to learn from neighbors in many contexts. Nate enjoys basketball, beatbox, and sharing in life’s crazy stories.
